SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING INTERN
Reports to: Marketing Manager
USTA Southern California is searching for a summer marketing intern to manage our social media outlets and to assist with the strategic implementation of all marketing and communication efforts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
-Intern will produce content for all social media accounts, leveraging photos and video to create engagement and sharing.
-Intern will be responsible for creating robust online community and a plan for maintaining that community.
-Intern will create report identifying opportunities to improve social media presence.
-Intern will assist in the creation, monitoring, and editing of content for USTA Southern California website.
-Intern will work with Marketing Manager and Section staff to produce collateral for department campaigns.
-Intern will perform any other duties designated by the marketing department and serve as a representative for USTA Southern California online and in the Southern California tennis community.
-Intern is invited to attend a number of USTA Southern California events during their internship term.
-Candidates should have significant experience in social media channels such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
-Candidates should have or pursuing degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or related field and work experiences.
-Intern must be creative, innovative, and possess excellent writing and communication skills.
-Experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing software is preferred, but not required.
-Excellent writing, copy-editing and verbal skills
-Highly organized, detailed oriented, team player, creative thinker, independent and proactive worker with excellent judgement.
