The sixth annual iTennis Andulka Park Adult Open Tennis Championships event returns Nov. 3-6 to Andulka Park Tennis Center, in Riverside, “The Crown Jewel of Tennis in the Inland Empire.”
Contested on their nine hard courts, players in men’s and women’s singles and doubles are invited to compete for a minimum of $6,000 in total winnings. Prize money has increased from previous years, making this not only the top Open level event in the Inland Empire, but one of the top dollar Open level events in all of Southern California. Champions and finalists will be paid in the women’s singles and doubles, and men’s doubles. The men’s singles draw will be paid down to the quarters.
Emmanuel Mensah (pictured) was last year’s singles and doubles winner on the men’s side, while Morgan McCray won the women’s singles title.
The tournament has attracted many of the top men and women Open level, professional, and collegiate tennis players in Southern California, as well as from around the world. Last year’s draw featured players from nine of the United States, and six other countries. With college and US Open alumni also competing in past events, last year’s men’s singles championship round was a battle between two Davis Cup players.
