Orange County BreakersThe Orange County Breakers of Mylan World TeamTennis have released their 2016 schedule to the pleasure of many Southern California tennis fans.

“We are excited about the upcoming season and our recently announced 2016 schedule,” said Breakers General Manager Allen Hardison. “The way the schedule worked out, we get the opportunity to host every team in the league at least one time at Breakers Stadium and that balance is great for our players and passionate fans.”

The Breakers will start the 2016 season on the road July 31 when they visit James Blake and the San Diego Aviators at La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif. Following that road tilt, the Breakers return to Orange County to host the Aviators on August 1 for Opening Night. The rivalry series continues between the Southern California foes with a match in Carlsbad on August 2 and a Breakers home match in Newport Beach on August 3.

Following the rivalry series, the Breakers will have the luxury of a much needed off day before playing host to the five-time defending Mylan WTT Champions on August 5. The Washington Kastles, who will be making their first visit to Orange County since 2012, will once again feature a star-studded lineup that includes Mardy Fish and Madison Brengle.

The Breakers will continue the home stand on August 6 and 7 by hosting the New York Empire and Philadelphia Freedoms, respectively. The Empire, who are coached by Patrick McEnroe, are led by Guido Pella and American Christina McHale. Philadelphia will also bring a strong team to Orange County with rising star Daria Kasatkina and Slovakian Lukas Lacko leading the way.

After another off day, the Breakers get back to work August 9 when they play host to the Springfield Lasers on Fan Appreciation Day and the final home match of 2016. Springfield is led by top Canadian doubles player Daniel Nestor, Australian Daria Gavrilova and German Benjamin Becker.

Orange County finishes the season with a four-match road trip that starts August 10 against the Lasers at Mediacom Stadium in Springfield, Mo. A trip to the Big Apple follows when the Breakers visit the legendary Forest Hills Stadium in New York to take on the Empire on August 11. Following a trip to Washington D.C. to face the Kastles on August 12, the Breakers will round out the 2016 slate with a visit to Philadelphia to play the Freedoms on August 13.

All Breakers home matches will be played at Breakers Stadium at Newport Beach Tennis Club and will start at 7:00pm PST. Season tickets are on sale now for the upcoming season and are going fast.
